Quick start

From download and install to your first task.

Clerk Bit is an enterprise digital worker that runs on your own computer by default, with an optional secure cloud sandbox. It reads files, runs commands, and follows processes. Sensitive actions need your approval, and every result is verified independently.

Four steps

  1. Install the client: choose Windows or macOS from the download center.
  2. Sign in: use the email your administrator provisioned; trial users follow the trial page to get set up first.
  3. Choose a workspace: the folder where the digital worker can read, write, and run commands.
  4. Send your first task: describe the goal, inputs, and acceptance criteria.

Before you sign in

  • Confirm the account is active and you know the sign-in email.
  • Windows needs .NET Framework 4.8 and WebView2; macOS needs 15.0 or later.
  • On an intranet, make sure admin.clerkbit.com is reachable, or use the offline package.

How to write a good task

A good task has three parts:

  • Goal: what to deliver, and for whom.
  • Inputs: where the files, folders, links, or data are.
  • Acceptance criteria: what counts as done, including format and scope.

Example:

Read the bank statements and invoices in D:\Finance\2026Q3, reconcile the payment differences, and output variances.xlsx and reconciliation.md. Flag every difference over CNY 100.
